Running A Social Bowl

There is a Social Bowl every weekend during the summer season. It’s easy to host and can be organised on paper or on a computer. Training and help given.

We hold social events throughout the year. Volunteers are always needed to help plan and organise, beforehand and on the day.

bartending

We are looking for members to run the bar so it doesn’t always fall to the same people when we hold events. Training provided and the commitment is minimal.

Team Captain

  • Pick the team for every match.
  • Ensure all your players know where the away greens are and how to get there (and where possible use car sharing to save petrol).
  • As well as the 10 players picked to play, ensure there are enough markers.
  • Liaise with the opposing Captain. Agree the final scores.
  • For Home matches, enter the final scores into the online results system.
  • For Home matches, ensure tea & biscuits are available.

Consider being a Co-Captain. A great way to learn the ropes and see if being a Captain is for you!

Bowls Club Committee

The Committee consists of a Chairman, a Secretary, a Treasurer, a Membership Secretary, five Committee members and a Safeguarding Officer, all of whom are elected at the Annual General Meeting in February.
