The winter season of Indoor Short Mat Bowls begins on Wednesday 30 September 2026.
No special woods are needed.
There is a fee of £1 per session.
Sessions
Saturdays & Sundays & Thursdays at 1pm.
Wednesdays at 1.15pm. The Art Club has the Clubhouse booked until 1pm. Please do not arrive before 1pm. Please allow them space to vacate.
Note: if the Clubhouse is booked on one of these afternoons, bowling does not take place. See the Bowls Calendar for dates.
Members may attend on whichever days they find convenient up to a maximum of 2 sessions in any one week. For this purpose, a week is defined as Monday to Sunday. Unused sessions are lost ie not transferrable from one week to the next.
We will publish attendances each week in the weekly email. This will enable members who find a given day too crowded to switch to a less busy day, thus evening out the numbers
Signing Up To Play
Order of play at the start of the session will be decided by a ballot. The ballot will be held at 1.15pm.
Members turning up before 1:15pm will put their name disc into the bag ready for the draw.
Members must be on the premises to be included in the draw.
Order of play will be decided strictly by the draw.
Members arriving after the draw can be added at the bottom of the sign-in sheet, in order of arrival.
Otherwise, games will be conducted exactly as they always have been.
As always, we ask that all members play their part in setting up and putting away, as well as organising the ballot.
