Free Taster Sessions
We’ll provide equipment and introduce you to the game, with no obligation. We can arrange an introductory session to suit your schedule. Or why not come along to one of our social bowls? It’s a great way to meet us and try your hand at Crown Green.
You can attend three of our events free of charge before we ask that you join the Club.

The annual subscription is made up of two parts – a fee to the Bowls Club and a fee to the Burton & Puddington Sports & Social Club. This latter pays for the upkeep of the Sports & Social Club buildings and environs and of Gladstone Village Hall. If you are already a member of another sports section you are not required to pay a second Social Club fee.

For individuals who do not wish to bowl but do wish to attend Club events throughout the year.
Junior (Under 18)

We encourage members to pay by bank transfer. If you wish to pay by cash or cheque, there is a £1 fee to cover bank charges.
No fee is required for casual spectators or non-playing partner/spouse/friend/family who turn up very occasionally for a one-off roll-up or for social events. In this context “very occasionally” means on not more than three occasions in any year.

To join the Bowls Club, download and complete a membership application form and return it to us via email or send to the address listed.
If you are not already a member of the Social Club, you will see that you need a Proposer and Seconder. Feel free to ask members you have met at events.If you do not have a Proposer or Seconder when you fill in the form, don’t worry, leave the fields blank and we will take care of it for you.
