Many thanks to Liz who organised another enjoyable few days in Arnside. Our group keeps growing – there were thirty-two of us this year!
We spent Thursday at Arnside Bowling Club and Geoff ran a competition. Chris W was the eventual winner and was thrilled with his prize – a bag of Jelly Babies!
Friday morning was taken up with walks and sightseeing. In the afternoon we returned to Arnside Bowling Club for a friendly. A great time with old and new friends.
Thanks to Geoff and Keith for the quizzes, to Dave T who led us in a singalong, accompanying us on the ukelele and to who Liz organised a ‘guess who this member is from looking at a picture of them as a child’ competition. Much more difficult than it sounds!
And a very big thank you to Arnside Bowling Club who made us so welcome again this year. A super green and such lovely people.
