The 2026 Ellesmere Port & District Ladies Bowling League Novice Cup was held at Burton & Puddington on Thursday 6 August. This is the third year for the competition, spearheaded by B&P Ladies. It is designed to encourage and develop new bowlers.
Once again, we had a lovely afternoon. The weather was ideal and there was a great crowd of supporters. The games were of a high standard, with several nail-biting finishes.
Chris Biggs from Whitby Park Conservatives won and Teresa Cox from Little Sutton was the runner-up.
Sue organised the afternoon. Many thanks to Sandra, Karen, Laura, Chris S, Angela and Kath who served refreshments, sold raffle tickets, measured, and made everything go smoothly.
